Thanks for asking Katie to run the numbers, Bob. The 80% to 90% rate for married couples is consistent with my expectations, although I'd guess it's more like 95%+ for Californians. I didn't realize that singles would fare significantly better than that, but I don't have a lot of experience with AMT for single taxpayers. I suppose we can add this change to the "marriage penalty" box.
