I'll say Amen to that. I wonder how much you could expand a refundable CTC if you did away with the mortgage interest deduction and redirected the benefit to the CTC. I bet such an action would have a benefit on housing too. Changing the exemption to an expanded CTC would also have an impact. What do your models say?
