Organized Religion as a whole is looking like low hanging fruit right now considering the financial crisis we're in - and what is coming. Taxation of religion (or any group that receives donations) and in particular, religions that espouse particular partisan political views (whether their congregations listen or not) should be taxed for what they really are.
Even Bible prophesy indicates that religion is doomed and that government is what will expose and devastate it. It looks like that's what's on the horizon.
