Re: Economic Stimulus: In Play for '08

The deplorable condition of our infrastructure: bridges, tunnels,etc, provides an avenue for stimulating the economy. Projects could be located throughout the country, and they would provide jobs for people who really need money. The number of projects undertaken and the schedule for completing them would serve to regulate the amount of money pumped into the economy. The money going to laborers would increase demand for consumer goods and services. Further, demand for construction materials, equipment, etc would also increase. This would spark the economy while taking care of the problems with our dangerous roads and bridges.
